Subject: RE: Privacy standard
Nicola - Thanks for pointing to these Fair Information Practices (FIPs) adopted by the two referenced organizations. One set is the 8 DHS FIPs and the other set focuses on 3 FIPs that relate to their business model. I was not aware of these specific lists, but I expect there will be more organizations trying to get ahead of their consumer-audience privacy concerns related to data collection. Of course, any set of FIPs can become "privacy requirements" as input to the PMRM. The PMRM then provides guidance for creating an operational privacy management system. These two groups (rather, the individual members) could benefit from the PMRM as implementation guidance, especially with their focus on strong accountability. However, I find this contribute: http://bit.ly/f2E0O2 Did you know this position about privacy standard? Best regards, Nicola
