UBL Naming and Design Rules Version 3.0

  - history:

    - formal comments received:

      https://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/ubl-comment/201503/msg00002.html
      https://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/ubl-comment/201504/msg00002.html
    - Ken has posted a second draft of the disposition document
      https://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/ubl/201505/msg00015.html
    - Tim has posted his comments for Ken's review
      https://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/ubl/201506/msg00006.html
    - Chet has given Ken comments for the cover page
  - current:
    - need to discuss repackaging the NDR under ballot to be two separate
documents, one being only normative rules of transforming CCTS information
expressed in genericode into XSD/CVA information, and the other being
how the UBL TC manages the CCTS information and invokes the tools to
      create the distribution artefacts
    - the totally-redesigned NDR would be put as a new 30-day ballot because
of the extensive changes, but published in parallel with a 30-day review
of the committee note for comment
  - suggestion that Ken review this with Patrick Durusau, who commented on
earlier drafts, to get his opinion
  - the committee members were generally ambivalent about splitting the
document, but that the arguments for improvement by having two documents
were persuasive enough that Ken will proceed to draft the changes

Andy reported on a new topic being discussed in ISO circles

  - SC 32/WG 1,2 - new project items exploring "Data Provenance"
  - related to the integrity of data being exchanged
  - related to "chain of custody"
  - what are authoritative data sources and how are they so designated?
  - is this related to business relationships and ISO 11000?
  - is this of interest in UBL?
  - Kees and Ken discussed the availability in UBL of the supplementary
components for data items such as coded values; these components can
be used to express the source or semantic identification of values

Andy brought forward the existence of a new OASIS technical committee

  - Cyber Threat Initiative formed in late May with a lot of interest
  - does the UBL TC have to worry about having mechanisms for users to
detect problems introduced in data or processes using UBL documents?

be changed using the box icon at top right; the list view provides the most
summary information, without the detail view obscuring the screen space)
    - when creating tickets, remember to distinguish the following components
by how they are described to be used as categories:

UBL TC next steps

   - what promotional issues need to be addressed?
