Considering the value of your suggested improvements, I think it's worth
waiting until Monday. If you can send me your corrections by 4:00 Pacific time I
should be able to have the final version out that evening.
I'll leave the line numbers unless a majority of other people weigh in
between now and Monday to indicate that they'd rather have them
removed.

welcome! I'm happy to work through the remainder of sections, but may be
unable to do another read through before Monday. Hope that's not too
late.
I'm ambivalent about removing the numbering, especially for the
0.5 release. The numbering makes it easier to correlate problems
reported on the document.

Also, I am thinking of removing line numbering in the final version. It
is great for reviews but not useful for final spec since some people
will get it in HTML, PDF, Word, printed in a book, etc. So people
shouldn't rely on line numbers, and usually don't when they use specs,
they use section numbers. If someone really wants line numbers in let me
know, otherwise I'll remove them in tomorrow's (final) version.
