Vordel releases TalkXML V3.0, the security framework for Web services, to
industry acclaim

19 November, 2001, Dublin, Ireland – Vordel, the Web services security company,
today announced the release of TalkXML (tm) Version 3.0, to the acclaim of
technology and industry visionaries.

TalkXML enables companies to securely use the new generation of integration
technology: Web services. It allows organizations to extend their automated
business services over the Internet for access by other companies, and ensures
these organizations can exploit the opportunities presented by Web services to
generate increased returns on their existing investments.

Pete Lindstrom, Director of Security Strategies at Hurwitz Group, has described
Vordel as “a leader in the Web services security space with its unique TalkXML
technology.”

Speaking at the announcement, David Ryan, CEO of Vordel, said, "this latest
product introduces a new generation of TalkXML. The product allows financial
services institutions to securely route information throughout a Web services
environment, as well as to easily and inexpensively integrate their systems with
those of any of their partners.

“TalkXML gives companies the confidence to expose critical business services and
processes to their partners and clients,” said Ryan.

Dr Alastair MacWillson, joint global CEO for beTRUSTed, an e-security business
of PricewaterhouseCoopers, commented that “Vordel has demonstrated with TalkXML
the power of providing scalable applications that enable companies to maximize
the commercial potential of digital certificate based security infrastructures.”

TalkXML V3.0 has been hailed as “a product that enables disparate systems to be
integrated, and delivers the security framework essential to successfully deploy
Web services” by Ed Simon, co-author of the XML Signature and XML Encryption
specifications.
