Subject: FW: [voting] OASIS Call For Vote: AVDL
All, Voting is now open to approve our Committee Draft as an OASIS standard. The ballot will remain open until 11:45 PM EST on May 31st. The ballot requires 15% approval of the voting members to pass. Since we are a small committee, it is imperative that we get the word out to friends and colleagues who are members of OASIS asking them to support this standard. The most beneficial thing you can as committee members is to lobby your company's voting representative and ask them to vote in favor of the ballot. If you do not know who your company's representative is, please bounce back to this email. I should be able to provide you with that information. I want to thank everyone for your involvement and commitment over the past year and hope that with a little extra effort, we will be able to create a standard for our industry that will benefit all of us. Thanks for the help. Regards, Kevin Heineman Vice President of Professional Services and Engineering S.P.I. Dynamics, Inc. As the required review and familiarization periods have now been completed it is time to vote. (The applicable section of the TC Process is at http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/process.php#standard) As each OASIS member organization has only one vote, employees of your organization should have sent their input to you, their voting representative, so that you can decide how to vote on behalf of your organization. The voting representative from each OASIS member organization should submit the organization's vote by 11:45 p.m. ET 31 May 2004. Voting will be conducted using the OASIS collaborative tools. To cast your ballots, go to the voting group page at http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/voting/ and select the link for Open Ballots. You may change your ballot until the time that balloting closes. Ballots will be publicly archived. Comments are not solicited as the specifications have already had a public review period. You will need to login to the collaborative tools in order to cast your ballots; if you have not yet obtained your username and password please contact Scott McGrath (scott.mcgrath@oasis-open.org) for help. -Karl ================================================================= Karl F.
