Subject: Font Properties Design Group?
WebCGM TC -- Feedback requested -- we need to update the unicode tests before W3C... Attached below is a chunk of metachek trace for utf16-japanese-v10.cgm. Everything looks pretty good in the Font Properties, except Design Group, and Structure. I'd like feedback on what these should be. Here's what I think about Design Group, based on: http://www.cgmopen.org/technical/typeface.pdf The font is "MS Gothic". I think that 5.1.2 (p.64) is a reasonable match (that group contains helvetica). In which case the three integers in the FP design group property would be: 5, 1, 2. Does anyone disagree? (Does anyone agree?). The other possibility that came to mind was one of the designs of 4.12.x -- 4.12.1, or 4.12.2, or 4.12.3. Thoughts? Regardless of the choice of Design Group, I think structure is unabiguous: solid (1).
