Looks like we're in good shape. I just heard back from the developers, 
and Prospective Member will be a separate role, so you can do a query to 
see just them, and the query would also reveal their signup date.

Also, I originally thought that this would automatically convert the 
prospective member to full member, but instead the chair will be 
notified when the person has fulfilled the probation requirements. The 
chair will then have to manually change the person's role. I think this 
is probably better as nothing changes without the chair knowing about 
it; this gives the chair just a bit more control.
