Subject: [CMIS 1.1 Draft Review] CMIS 1.1 Working Draft 01b
Section 5.1 says „The CMIS Browser Binding is designed to allow developers build browser based applications that use CMIS content.“ This is misleading: a) The browser binding is a general purpose binding that also can be used in a browser and considers browser specific behavior and restrictions. b) What is CMIS content? (only content and no metadata, not the full CMIS specification?) Suggestion (compare also to section 3.1): The CMIS Browser Binding is based upon the JSON (_javascript_ Object Notation) protocol implementations as described in [RFC 4627]. JSON is an efficient and popular protocol supported on a wide variety of platforms. The browser binding is specifically designed to support applications running in a web browser but is not restricted to those. |
