Subject: RE: DOCBOOK: itemized list within <para> or after </para>??
Semantically, there are several situations like this one. For example display equations that appear in the middle of a paragraph. Or, in legal texts, you'll sometimes see a citation displayed as a block, but in the middle of a sentence or a paragraph. If your mindset or processing can't stand it ("now is this inline or block, oh my oh my"), it's usually possible to rephrase the text so that it refers to whatever should have been displayed at that spot. There was a discussion about this some time ago in xml-doc list [1]. kind regards Peter Ring [1] http://groups.yahoo.com/group/xml-doc/message/1724 -----Original Message----- From: Robert P. J. (p. 351) so, any strong opinions either way? rday Robert P. J. Day, RHCE, RHCI Eno River Technologies, Chapel Hill NC Unix, Linux and Open Source corporate training http://www.linux-migration.org
