Subject: [dsml] DSML V2 Revised
All, I am attaching the final version of the DSMLv2 committee specification. I have made the three errata changes as Karl said we had time to do that. The changes were made to section 6 per Christine section 4.0 and 5.2 per Jeff. I am attaching the new specification and the three errata. Please review it ASAP and I am going to post it as DSML V2 committee specification. Happy Holidays, Winston

Resending with proper subject line. This can either be incorporated in a revision of the final or treated as the first errata on the web site. The examples in section "6. SOAP Request/Response Binding" should not have: se:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" in the top-level 'se:Envelope' element. This incorrectly indicates that the serialization rules used in the message follow the schema associated with section 5. of the SOAP 1.2 spec. The se:encodingStyle attribute is not required and may be safely removed per section 4.1.1 of SOAP 1.2. ciao, Christine ---------------------------------------------------------------- To subscribe or unsubscribe from this elist use the subscription manager: <http://lists.oasis-open.org/ob/adm.pl>

Section "4. Top-Level Structure," subsection "Request-response association." The last three paragraphs describe the responseOrder attribute and its two values -- ordered an unordered. The values defined in the schema are *sequential* and unordered. The first two of these last three paragraphs should instead read as follows: A BatchRequest element may contain the optional XML-attribute responseOrder, which influences how the server orders individual responses within the BatchResponse. The valid values are sequential and unordered. If this attribute is omitted, the default value is sequential. In a BatchRequest with responseOrder="sequential", the server MUST return a BatchResponse in which the individual responses maintain a positional correspondence with the individual requests. In section 5.2, the first sentence, "DSMLv2 specifies each attribute modification by attaching an operation attribute to an attr element" should be "…a modification element." Thanks to Tony Elliott (tony.elliott@cp.net) for catching this one.
