Perhaps CPAs _could_ be used for web services negotiation (that is one work item deferred from 2.0), but then it would still be CPA negotiation. My point was that if web services groups extend a SOAP features approach, and combines it with WSDL, they may develop a WSDL++ and registration approach that differs at least from our negotiation messages. In Addition, instead of {proposal, acceptance/counterproposal/rejection}, the flow may be {registration, approval/rejection}. But maybe we should hold off on this issue until we get the draft ready. We should be advocating eventually using as much as possible of this specification outside CPA negotiation. Web services is an example if it eventually includes something to negotiate. Except for some element names, there is really nothing in the negotiation BPSS instance document that is particularly dependent on CPA. However, schedules and workloads being what they are, I would not even consider changing the terminology at this late date.
