The Awards were organized by ICHnet.org, Federal CIO Council, IAC and the Council for Excellence in Govt. As the SecurE-Biz program, including the Awards segment, is focused on the architectures that enable secure e-business, the requirements process is critical component. Your TC's award was for "Leadership" in Technology/standards efforts, and compared to the other nominations, your TC efforts were deserving recognition. The factors that were recognized were in the areas of dedication of citizen service and the "requirements gathering process" that has been assembled to identify the technology needs/gaps of the international e-Gov community.

The ICH has documented many standards efforts that failed to deliver value to the target community, often because the target user of these specs is often left out of the equation or the cycle time is too long. It appears that your efforts thus far are addressing these two critical factors.

Congratulations on your progress and hope you achieve the goals you have set.

BTW: As the ICH is hosting the Fall. e-Gov TC meeting on Oct 28-29 during the Fall SecurE-Biz Summit in Wash. DC, I would like to have someone from the TC participate on the SecurE-Biz Program Committee. Any volunteers?
