Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (EMIX-409) CIM Definition Sources:CLONE -Omnibus issue for Acclara (David Haynes) comments

    [ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/EMIX-409?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=25792#action_25792 ]

Gerald Gray commented on EMIX-409:
----------------------------------

I think the challenge with issue 681 beyond Bill's thought of "why isn't my favorite standard cited" is that I believe EMIX refers to the "CIM ramp rate curve" which leads one to believe that the EMIX ramp rate curve is equivalent of a CIM ramp rate curve; there is not a clear distinction. The challenge is that the only similarity between the EMIX classes for ramp rate curve with the CIM ramp rate curve appears to be the name. My expectation would be that the classes would be similar albeit with a ws-calendar structure used in place of the time-based elements used in the CIM ramp rate curve class structure. If we were in fact, using that as a reference.

If there are other ramp rate curve class models that we could leverage from other standards perhaps we could hold those up and debate the merits of those versus the model used by the CIM.

> 681 technical "ramp rate curve"? Where exactly is this defined? What is the name of the document? What is the name of the CIM class it inherits from?
> 703 technical "mrid"? I believe IEC TC57 WG13 has developed a document to define the mrid. You must either define what you mean by "mrid" and the rules associated with the use of it, or cite someone else's document that does this for you. There are very specific rules for its construction and use that need to be followed.
