Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] (ENERGYINTEROP-677) Actor vs Party

    [ https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/ENERGYINTEROP-677?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=80650#comment-80650 ]

William Cox edited comment on ENERGYINTEROP-677 at 1/27/22 4:50 PM:
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Actor conversation needs to be done clearly and once. (Introductory chapter needs improvement) "Market" acts as a party; bilateral transactions against that market party seems fundamental.

Party may act as buy or seller - section 2? - perhaps that discussion goes there.

Actor takes on ROLE of a PARTY, not "is a Party".
Agency among actors may confuse the explanation.

> 1. The Proposal introduces Actor as a synonym with Party. There is no apparent advantage to the change.
