Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] (ENERGYINTEROP-680) Instrument is Unnecessary

    [ https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/ENERGYINTEROP-680?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=80652#comment-80652 ]

William Cox commented on ENERGYINTEROP-680:
-------------------------------------------

The RES-PROD-INSTR is not clear enough. Needs the refactoring and the description but not in section 1 or 2.

Also part of the muddle on market and marketplace (blurred even in those sections). If market for one instruments, can you trade 3 instruments in that market?

Market for exchange of a product, Marketplace is at some other level (things I can communicate with? Resource?)

Market trades a single product, with constraints on the instruments traded (e.g. five minute intervals). This cross connection needs clarity in the RES-PROD-INSTR space as well as Market-Marketplace.

We are not introducing new concepts, but refactoring with more clarity wrt DGH comment.

> 5. The addition of Instrument as a Product for a Duration in the Proposal is unnecessary, and any market engine that requires Instruments can apply the instrument concept in its interface with TEMIX.
