Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] (ENERGYINTEROP-687) Are Independent Markets required?

    [ https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/ENERGYINTEROP-687?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=80654#comment-80654 ]

William Cox edited comment on ENERGYINTEROP-687 at 1/27/22 5:10 PM:
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Locality is an attribute of a market; don't need a universal market with multiple instruments.

Wants for delivery to "my neighborhood distribute grid" in the Tender message - deliberately not in the Tender. Was this an extension?

Check message definitions. Location related to market registration, implicit afterward and need not be duplicated in Tender.

Commonality among participants in a market MAY be geographic, grid-related, microgrid=-related.

Could be an extension; what's the purpose?

> 11. While the Proposal includes bilateral transactions, the Proposalâs favored alternative of independent, localÂclearing markets (market engines) is unworkable in a grid where fine locational and time granularity isÂessential, and liquidity of tenders is minimal.
