3. Review of feedback of the Use Case Document from NEC.

NEC has provided the TC with a review on the use cases document.

URL: https://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/id-cloud/201310/msg00004.html

Changes are not substantial / changing the actual content. It's a refinement of the current document, aligning text, removing spelling mistakes, grammar, etc.
How to deal with these review comments?

Options:
(a) create a draft CN version 2
(b) errata

Both options involve voting of the TC and PR periods.

Introducing new use cases would probably result in  a version 1.5 or 2.0 of the use case document, which subsequently can be handled by the TC.

TC members from NEC will consider next steps based on the options discussed.

4. Gap Analysis Document [Gershon]

GAP analysis document CND01/PRD01:

Updated it with comments received:

- About few commensts on about a dozen spelling mistakes and suggestions for proper capitalization (e.g. google should be Google)

* Discussion: suggested standards for inclusion

TC members discussed handling of comments:

https://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/id-cloud/201311/msg00001.html

* Suggestions received at meetings / events:

- Q. How should one actually use this document? It's great to learn about GAPs, but are there best practices / suggestions that come out of this? E.g. patterns on how to realize certain use cases given the lack of standards at this time?

The profiles which the TC produced are providing an answer to those questions.

* Topic: What comes out the the GAP analysis work?

We now have a GAP analysis document CND01/PRD01 with:
- a listing of use cases
- relevant applicable standards
- summarized per use case: analysis notes on the application of standards within the context of the use case and possible GAPS identified.

The GAP document now could serve as an input document to projects trying to implement something, where relevant described analysis on use cases inform them of GAPs, possible pittfalls and items to look out for.

Does this committee feel that we can do more to converge / consolidate this work?

e.g. consolidate GAPs identified into suggested 'packages' for follow-up standardization attention / efforts?

Target was producing the GAP analysis document, acting as a call for action to the industry. Industry (including OASIS itself) can follow-up on this.

* Next step for GAP analysis document

The TC agreed to open a ballot to vote for sending the GAP analysis document for a second 15 day Public Review.

AI: Gershon: to setup a ballot.

5. Other Business

* 15-day Public Review for Identity in the Cloud PaaS Profile V1.0

PR ended 26 October 2013; No comments received. Next step is to move to CN.

The TC agreed to open a ballot to vote for moving the PaaS Profile V1.0 to a CN.

AI: Gershon: to setup a ballot.

6. Adjourn

* International Cloud Symposium in Luxembourgh
Gershon reported on the International Cloud Symposium in Luxembourgh. The ICS was held at the same venue as the EuroCloud Congress.

We received excellent exposure at the event. Our sponsorship and track running in parallel was mentioned multiple times at the opening keynote alone and much gratitude was given to the OASIS community.

OASIS had a good set of sessions, though attendance was quite scarce (around 15-25 people) per session. Attendees were interested though, based on interaction, follow-up talks and questions. John Sabo was our moderator and did a great job.

The conference was good in terms of "information sharing" and exposure, but also on talks with industry partners present.

* FAQ on TC website
The TC felt that questions as discussed during the meeting should be captured in an FAQ to be published on the TC website.
AI: Gershon: Gershon will consolidate questions into a draft FAQ and post this to the TC website.

* Next meeting
Next formal meeting on 25/November/2013.

Meeting adjourned.
