Subject: RE: [egov-ms] RE: [idtrust-ms] STORK 2 - EU cross-border identity pilot projects
Pim, Thanks for the clarification, very helpful Are you in contact at all with the STORK2 consortium PMO, AtosOrigin? Maybe you could fill them in on this? Otherwise, I'm happy to pass the info on Peter -----Original Message----- From: Pim van der Eijk [mailto:pim.vandereijk@oasis-open.org] Sent: Friday, 13 May, 2011 12:41 To: 'Anil Saldhana'; peter@peterfbrown.com Cc: laurent.liscia@oasis-open.org; hal.lockhart@oracle.com; Jamie.clark@oasis-open.org; idtrust-ms@lists.oasis-open.org; egov-ms@lists.oasis-open.org Subject: [egov-ms] RE: [idtrust-ms] STORK 2 - EU cross-border identity pilot projects When the EU Commission project officer for STORK learned about BDX, he told me it could be a model for STORK, so it is good that this is opportunity is now arising. The STORK SAML profile is based on earlier input from ENISA and related work on e-authentication in Europe. This work was presented to the Security Services TC in 2007 and at an OASIS Fall conference in London. The request for OASIS to participate in projects to provide expertise has come up many times in the past but there was no formal framework to support this model. Recently, OASIS has set up a relation with a not-for-profit organization in France which is able to act as legal entity in EU contracts and would be able to subcontract any experts work. Since this relation is now established (and to be announced soon), we should use this structure to support this. I would presume we just have to request someone from the SAML TC who is in Europe to be the liaison.
