Subject: Re: [legaldocml] Schedule, priorities and goals

Hi Chet,

thanks for your checking. I am feeling better if you take a look to our schedule and if you can provide us some advices on how to make the right steps since the beginning, avoiding so to loose time.

In the xsl "the statement of use" step is included. Is there any form that we need to follow for this specific documentation (statement of use)?

Thanks a lot!
Cheers,
Monica

Hi Monica,

I appreciate you putting together the timeline. It gives me a good advance notice for when to be watching for something from the TC!

One thing I don't see on the list & want to make sure you factor in: the statements of use. You will need at least three - and at least one from an OASIS member organization - before approving the Candidate OASIS Standard and starting the 60 day public review.

Best,

/chet

Dear all,

let me remind to all that the common goal of the LegalDocML TC for this year (2013) is to obtain the endorsement from OASIS: Akoma Ntoso as OASIS standard.
Some members have no possibility to join so longer to the TC after the 2013 (some parliaments, some universities).
For this reason I have prepared a simulation of the main steps in order to fix milestones in our work and to cope with the common goal.

I resume the main steps toward the standard:
  1. - approve Working Draft
  2. - announce the conversion from Working Draft to Committee Specs Draft
  3. - vote the conversion from Working Draft to Committee Specs Draft
  4. - ask the 30-dyas-public review (first goal: 1-JUNE)
  5. - collect comments, answer and fix comments
  6. - resubmit the 15-public review
  7. - collect comments and answer and fix comments
  8. - ask the 60-days-public review
  9. - collect comments and answer and fix comments
  10. - announce the ballot
  11. - vote the ballot (15 days)

We are in the step 1. Let me say that we have already a delay!
Tomorrow TC meeting we will discuss on the opening issues and on the schedule.

Yours,
Monica
