Dear OASIS members,
Iâm happy to announce that Guy Martin has joined the OASIS staff as our new Executive Director.
Guy brings a great deal of enthusiasm and 25 years of software experience to his new role at OASIS. In addition to his extensive experience helping build open source programs for companies like Red Hat, Samsung and Autodesk, he was instrumental in starting the Academy Software Foundation and the Open Connectivity Foundation, where he worked to successfully integrate FRAND standards with open source reference implementations. Guy is a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion in technology and is an accomplished public speaker.
As we begin this next chapter with Guy, I'd like to acknowledge the OASIS Board of Directors for investing so much time and consideration in the search and interview process. The number of extremely qualified candidates who applied for the position was evidence of the respect OASIS holds in the international community, which is the direct result of the outstanding work of our members.
The Board and staff are excited to work with Guy, and Iâm sure you will share that excitement after (virtually) engaging with him over the next couple of weeks.
