Subject: Joining the committee, procedure.


For those whose organisation doesn't do it for them!

At http://www.oasis-open.org/join/membership_application.php
search for 'To apply:'

There is an online PDF form (accessibility?) or a printable
PDF to fill in and fax, or scan and mail back.

Return your signed Membership Agreement to OASIS Member Services via:

    *

      email attachment to member-services@oasis-open.org; or
    *

      fax to +1 978-667-5114; or

I *think* that gets you a user name and password for use on
the Oasis site.

Having done that, you'll need to sort of, join the working group
for which the accessibility group is a sub-group.

Try to get to http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/portal/
You'll get a pop up user name and password.

that lists all the groups.
search for # OpenDocument - Accessibility
  Follow that link.

Drat. since I'm a member, I think the page is different.
There is a 'join' option there, with the caveat that you must join
(Can someone help me out please, its the TC name) the parent group
before you can join this group.
   Follow the link and sign up. Painless.
Then come back to the accessibility group page,
and join the group.

Thereafter, it is down to Nathaniel, I think, or one of the
Oasis list moderators, to sign you up.


It only took me a few days to figure that out.
