Subject: Summary 2010-02-09

Summary 2010-02-09

Attendees:
David A. Wheeler
Rob Weir
Eric P.
Andreas G.
Hideki Hiura
Patrick D.
Michael B.
Eike R.
Dennis H. (Had battery problems, and thus problems logging in.)

Went through:
 http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/secure/Dashboard.jspa
And examined all issues allocated to CD1.
For many, group quickly agreed they were not blockers for CD1.

OFFICE-2331 was discussed at more length.
This notes "portable document" - we already made many changes.
Patrick D: Let's not put things off indefinitely... they are going to
have to be resolved. I don't think we're doing that, but we need to be cautious.

Rob: If we want to do this, if we believe we've resolved anything for
CD1... do we need a clean copy?

Patrick: Eike & I disagree on good faith on some edits (what it should be to implement agreements).
If we remove all change tracking, must do something with all those edits.

Rob: A change in dispute should be turned in JIRA.

Wheeler: For changes in dispute, use current unchanged version.
The "clean copy" for CD is for public review, without test cases, etc.
The group will continue to edit the "full"/"working copy" version with test cases.
That way, external folks wont' comment on test cases (etc.) that won't be
in the final version anyway.

OFFICE-2373 and OFFICE-2346 moved to CD2.

Basically, we've made progress on the OFFICE-*.

Wheeler: I don't hear any objections blocking release of a CD in this subcommitee meeting. (Good!).

The subcommittee has agreed to request the TC to create a create "clean copy"
CD, and then have the TC vote.
* Eike and then Patrick to make the final edits for this round (based on draft20), creating "draftN" (N>20)
* Michael B. will run the XSLT style sheet to strip out notes/comments/test cases, and modifies the front
page to make it look like a CD, creating the "draftN-clean" version.
* NO ONE IN THE SUBCOMMITTEE WILL EDIT a "clean" version. The "clean" ones are final-form, read-only documents.
* Both versions will be posted; the "clean version" is what will be proposed as a CD.
I suggest "clean" versions only be released as PDF (though we should keep the clean .odt on-hand, so we can do diffs).
* Wheeler will submit the clean version to the TC as a proposed CD, using electronic voting.
