Well... 2.17 ... The TC is not required to acknowledge or use any Contribution. 2.18 ... must include a list of people who participated in the development of the specification So, if you get a comment, but don't actually use it (i.e. not changing anything in the spec), one could argue that the comment didn't help in developing the spec, therefore the name isn't required to be added to the list of acknowledgements. Of course, if the comment does in fact results in changing the draft, then the name must be on the list (but since you've changed the spec, you're in for another round of review anyway...) You could easily run into an infinite loop here: 1) Send document out for public review 2) Receive comments on public-comment list 3) Add name of comment author to acknowledgements page 4) Because the text has now changed, need to send out for public review again 5) Goto step 2 -Rob
