The #oiic IRC channel is now being logged, the logs are public and 
visible at http://www.jmarsden.org/oiic/oiiclogs/

I can arrange for the log files to be automatically emailed to this list 
nightly, so they automatically become "part of the record created on 
this mailing list", if there is a general consensus that this 
arrangement would be desirable.

I expect to get a record of IRC communication on #oiic before the 
logging bot was set up, and add it to the set of logs within a few days, 
just so we have as complete a record as practical.
