Subject: OSLC SC Candidate Rotibi
Hi Scott and the OSLC Member Community
I would like to accept Andreas’ nomination and provide the following information below of why I’d like to be involved on the OSLC Steering committee and what I can bring to the group.
I was previously a member of the OSLC Steering committee, starting from its inception until the summer of 2014. I am an independent industry analyst who regularly engages with organisations of varying maturity and sizes across the industry and market landscape. I have over 22 years of industry experience spanning engineering, software development and IT analysis. I am a widely published, experienced expert analyst focused on software development technologies, applications, processes and market trends.
During my previous time on the OSLC committee I was an active member in promoting OSLC to the wider community and getting involved in webcasts as well as providing information on the direction of OSLC. Over the last 3 or more years I have promoted the value of OSLC in my role as an analyst and also as a partner on the European Union funded Crystal (CRitical sYSTems engineering AcceLeration) project that is looking into devising interoperability specifications for the safety critical industry.
As an industry analyst providing expert guidance on Software and Systems delivery in a connected world, I feel that I can bring a fresh and independent perspective on the interoperability concerns and needs across a broad market and industry landscape. For example in my analyst role, I have researched into the benefits and challenges of interoperability. Also with the help of my analyst team, I have surveyed the industry to understand the expectations and drive for better interoperability across the tooling portfolio. Another goal of our research has been to identify the commonalities across a range of industries in order to know where interoperability strategies such as OSLC will offer the most benefits and impact. Going forward we have been looking at how trends such as the Internet of Things will further drive the focus on interoperability.
Therefore, with my independent analyst status, industry and client experiences, and knowledge expertise, I feel I would be able to bring broader insights as well as a multitude of use case scenarios that could help to strengthen the focus and capabilities of OSLC.
Kind regards
Bola

Please know that my original message to the Member Sections contained a typo in the email address for nominations. If you send your nomination to the incorrect address it will bounce.
Many of you have figured out what i meant in spite of what I typed, but if you are still struggling, the email alias for submitting and accepting nominations is sc-election@oasis-open.org
Thanks,
Scott...
