list as a nomination forum wasn't such a
great idea.

Anyway, Ross is a fine fellow. I'm glad he
has stepped up to run for the PKI MS SC.

The purpose of this brief email is to inform you that I am interested in 
  serving on the Steering committee and to express my intention to run 
in  the upcoming election.

I have been involved in the Government of Canada PKI Project since its
inception in 1995.  As head of IT Security for Health Canada I was
responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing operation of
the Health Canada CA.  I have been a member of the GoC PKI Secretariat
for the past 2 years.  Recently, I was assigned responsibility for the
management of all cross-certification activities with the GoC PKI
(including the USFBCA) and for oversight of the three common GoC CAs,
the Canadian Federal PKI Bridge, the Government-on-Line CA, and the GoC
Common Services CA.

I have a keen interest in promoting/fostering the implementation and use 
  of PKI in Canada and abroad.  I have worked closely with the 
provincial  health ministries in Canada and also to a lesser degree with 
the US OMB.
