Subject: RE: Second Version of the ICS Working Program Document -- for circulation & review

Thanks Dee

Here is an article I have posted to summarize the main ideas of the
Digital Government session, and how it would be enabled by an 'xGEA':
Cross-government enterprise architecture, that would be central to the
PACR goals.

Regards Neil.

>>> Hi Jane
>>>
>>> Here is my feedback. I really like it overall, so these are just
>>> getting down to some suggestions for topics and speakers:
>>>
>>> 1. Cloud Privacy by Design: The role of Cloud Identity
>>>
>>> This slot would focus on the best practice from the Ontario Privacy
>>> Commissioner of 'Cloud Privacy by Design', focusing on the role the
>>> evolving 'Identity Ecosystem' will play in achieving these
>>> recommendations of building data privacy into the design of Cloud
>>> environments. It would
>>> cover:
>>>
>>> - USA NSTIC program, with input from IDmanagement.gov experts
>>> - Kantara Initiative and how architecture like 'UMA' is building
>>> user-centric design into Cloud Privacy controls
>>> - Cloud Security best practices: How Cloud Identity fits within an
>>> overall function of Cloud security as defined by orgs like the Cloud
>>> Security Alliance
>>>
>>> Relevant speakers would include (amongst others) IDmanagement.gov
>>> experts, Ontario Privacy Commissioners office, New Zealand Govt and Eve
>> Maler:
>>> http://blogs.forrester.com/eve_maler
>>>
>>> 2. GovCloud Auditing
>>>
>>> Best practices for Cloud security include the Cloud Security Alliance
>>> and accreditations include 'HISP'. Folks like the Government of
>>> Ontario are implementing these and this could be a case study focus.
>>>
>>> 3. Procurement
>>>
>>> I would include Cloud Service Brokers into this section, as they will
>>> ultimately have the most impact on this process. If so I can probably
>>> source a good case study of a USA agency using them.
>>>
>>> 4. Vendor GovClouds
>>>
>>> There is a lot I can input to this section. What I will do is spend
>>> the next week reaching around to lots of them and then come back with
>>> a summary of what they can offer.
>>>
>>> Regards, Neil.
