Subject: Re: precious little press
I will be glad to post a 'news' item to the XML Cover Pages news section -- especially if someone wants to help identify the points which at this time make a news story, and fill in the details. I won't do it just to "provide a foil" to anything else -- though I know of some web sites that thrive on controversy, real or concocted, as a means of improving their ratings. I think a "status" memo on TREX with 2-5 sentences on each of the four points sketched below [1] would make a great article, and I'll be happy to post it to my web site. Maybe there could be an official verdict on the pronunciation of 'TREX' as well :-) Please let me know if there's interest along these lines; otherwise, I'll be happy to reference what is posted to XML-DEV. Robin Cover [1] viz., * details on the TREX/RELAX unification * the relationship of the unified TREX/RELAX XML schema language to the W3C XML schema offering * plans for making the unified TREX/RELAX XML schema language an international standard * existing and planned tools/implementations ------------------------------------------------------------------------ On Thu, 17 May 2001, Michael Smith wrote: > Norman Walsh <ndw@nwalsh.com> writes: > > > / Michael Fitzgerald <mike@wyeast.net> was heard to say: > > | I must say I am surprised that the unification of Relax and Trex has not > > | gotten much press, not even on XMLHack.
