Problems with application of resolution to Assembly-57
Brief disccusion but no progress at present
Nash:
No progress - appologies
<anish>
btw, why do we have xml preamble in pseudoschemas?
<Mike Edwards>
<composite xmlns="
http://docs.oasis-open.org/ns/opencsa/sca/200712"
targetNamespace="xs:anyURI"
name="xs:NCName" local="xs:boolean"? autowire="xs:boolean"?
constrainingType="QName"? requires="list of xs:QName"? policySets="list of xs:QName"?>
<Mark Combellack>
looks like lines 1962 in CD01 30 june 2008
<Mike Edwards>
<!-- Implementation.Composite schema snippet -->
<implementation.composite xmlns="
http://docs.oasis-open.org/ns/opencsa/sca/200712"
targetNamespace="xs:anyURI"
substitutionGroup="implementation" name="QName" requires="list of xs:QNames"? policySets="list of xs:QNames"?/>
MikeE:
Preamble not necessary for pseudo-schema - s/b removed
Discussion to clarify entire section (lines 1961-2008) s/b replaced with pseudo-schema above
<anish>
here is what I think it should be:
<Mike Edwards>
<!-- implementation.composite pseudo-schema --><implementation.composite name="xs:QName" requires="list of xs:QName"? policySets="list of xs:QName"?/>
Motion: Resolve Issue 71 by replacing lines 1962 - 2010 with the following:<!-- implementation.composite pseudo-schema --><implementation.composite name="xs:QName" requires="list of xs:QName"? policySets="list of xs:QName"?/>
<Mike Edwards>
(CD01- Rev1 of 30th June)
Malhotra:
Changes to "List of xs:QName" will require changes to all pseudo-schema? (to be consistent)
MikeE:
Rest of spec seem OK
Ashok:
But not with SCA-Policy spec...
No further discussion - no objections
Resolution: ASSEMBLY-71 Resolved with pseudo-schema above w/o
AnishK:
Describes proposal
(describes problems mapping WDSL 1.1 <-> 2.0)
Option 1: Define subset of WSDL for mapping 1.1 <-> 2.0
Option 2: Only support WSDL 1.1 at present
option 2 is easier and there doesn't seem to be extensive support for WSDL 2.0 at present
Vorthmann:
Agree that WSDL 2.0 is better spec, but has less industry support
...may be better to define separate interfaces for WSDL 1.1 and 2.0 rather than one WSDL interface that maps between 1.1 and
2.0
MikeE:
Dropping WSDL 2.0 may need more changes to spec
Nash:
SCA-Bindings needs to be involved also - WSDL 2.0 is in that spec
Malhotra:
When spec goes to public review - will probably get a lot of -ve feedback
MikeE:
Note that WSDL 2.0 is not "unsupported" - would be handled by extensions
...WSDL 1.1 is how spec is defined
MartinC:
In favor of two interfaces and ony defining WSDL 1.1 at present
Further discussion on imact of dropping WSDL 2.0
Text of motion: "It is the intent of the SCA-Assembly TC to drop support for WSDL 2.0 in the current version of the SCA-Assembly
specification"
Motion: m=AnishK s=ScottV "It is the intent of the SCA-Assembly TC to drop support for WSDL 2.0 in the current version of the SCA-Assembly
specification"
Resolution: Motion for intent to drop WSDL 2.0 unanimously approved
Nash:
There was considerable discussion on "wire" vs "wiring"- don't think text is correct
<Scott Vorthmann>
+1 to Mike
<Jim Marino>
(sorry wrong window)
<Mike Edwards>
"Valid wiring sources are component references. Valid wiring targets are component services".
<Scott Vorthmann>
how about "Valid wire targets, including on a component reference, are component services."
<Mike Edwards>
Motion to resolve Issue 75 by replacing lines 4406/4407 in CD-01 Rev1 with:
<Mike Edwards>
"Valid wiring sources are component references. Valid wiring targets are component services".
Motion: m=MikeE s=SimonN As above
Resolution: i=75 ASSEMBLY-75 resolved unanimously with text above
<Mike Edwards>
2282 in CD-01 Rev1
Motion: m=MarkC s=SimonN Replace text on line 2153 with text proposed in JIRA
