Subject: Re: [sca-assembly] Agenda - question on action item

First, my apologies for missing last week's meeting.

I had a telecommunications crisis that took longer than hoped to resolve.

As to the agenda below, specifically with respect to ASSEMBLY-235, the email referenced is more than just "latest discussion", it is a specific proposal for resolving the issue.

On action items, comments inline below:

I've not done much on this in a few weeks (partly due to holidays).  I'm a little puzzled on the best way to move this forward, because each proposal I've floated seems to run into strenuous objection, even when the proposal I try to spell out actually comes from someone else (for example, injected channels).  The injected channels approach seems closest to fitting the requirements that I originally floated, in that it allows for late-binding the choice of channel (global or not) that will be used.

Fundamentally, we seem to have come to some agreement about information must be visible in the componentType.  We just can't seem to agree on the syntax.

Am I mis-characterizing the current status?

This one I'm confused on.  When we discussed this a few weeks back, we apparently agreed on the 2nd half of the proposal as stated in JIRA.  We just couldn't agree on the first half.  So I gained an action item to come up with an alternate proposal, and I did.  Based on the paucity of minutes recording the discussion of this issue during last week's meeting, I'm at a loss as to understand either the concerns about the conclusion in that email, or why the email itself was unclear in its intent.

At best, all I can figure out right now, is to restate a slightly revised proposal to resolve ASSEMBLY-239:
Change the name of the body.xpath1 element to xpath1BodyFilter.

Change the description of the Context Node to:
"The root element of the event business data."

If I have the time, and someone lets me know, I can do more than that, but right now I have no clue what is expected other than the above.
