Subject: Re: [sca-bindings] Fw: Groups - oasis - Ballot "Attendance at theDecember Bindings F2F" has closed
I agree that postponing would put our schedule in jeopardy. Another option is to have the f2f meeting and make unofficial decisions; designate specific time/duration each day during which folks who can't attend in person will dial in and make decisions during that time. Looking at the ballot, I'll observe that there are a lot of active members who won't be able to attend in person. That's not good for making decisions which won't be reopened. Given this, a virtual f2f seems like an attractive option. For the timezone issue, we could have the virtual f2f say from 7am-11am pacific from mon-thursday. Monday was designated a travel day in any case. -Anish -- David Booz wrote: > I can commit to being on the phone, for what it's worth. > > I am not opposed to a virtual F2F, but that's easy for me since I'm on > the east coast. > > I don't think postponing is an option. > > > Dave Booz > STSM, BPM and SCA Architecture > Co-Chair OASIS SCA-Policy TC and SCA-J TC > "Distributed objects first, then world hunger" > Poughkeepsie, NY (845)-435-6093 or 8-295-6093 > e-mail:booz@us.ibm.com > > Inactive hide details for Simon Holdsworth ---10/31/2008 09:30:49 > AM---Folks, The result of the ballot for F2F are not very encSimon > Holdsworth ---10/31/2008 09:30:49 AM---Folks, The result of the ballot > for F2F are not very encouraging - we have 5 > > > From: > Simon Holdsworth <simon_holdsworth@uk.ibm.com> > > To: > sca-bindings@lists.oasis-open.org > > Date: > 10/31/2008 09:30 AM > > Subject: > [sca-bindings] Fw: Groups - oasis - Ballot "Attendance at the December > Bindings F2F" has closed > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > > > > Folks, > > The result of the ballot for F2F are not very encouraging - we have 5 > confirmed attendees, which means for a quorum we need at least an > additional 3 people on the phone.
