Subject: [NEW ISSUE] WS binding support for ?wsdl should be non-normative
- From: Simon Holdsworth <simon_holdsworth@uk.ibm.com>

Description:
BWS20029 is currently a SHOULD:
Any service hosted by an SCA runtime with one or more
web service bindings with HTTP endpoints SHOULD return a WSDL description
of the service in response to an HTTP GET request with the “?wsdl” suffix
added to that HTTP endpoint URL. [BWS20029]
Which implies this is an optional feature
of the WS binding spec. In the interest of simplifying the conformance
requirements for the binding we ought to consider whether this really needs
to be optional.
Proposal:
Make support for ?wsdl non-normative
by replacing BWS20029 with the following text:
SCA runtimes can allow access to WSDL
descriptions for services with web service bindings, either directly using
the common practice for HTTP endpoints of sending a GET request to that
endpoint with the "?wsdl" suffix, or by publishing the WSDL to
a shared repository.
Remove BWS20028.
Update the test case document test assertions
as appropriate for the removal of these statements.
