Hi Scott,

At the XTM meeting in Paris I proposed that the next meeting should
be held in Montreal in conjunction with Extreme Markup. We know that
a large number of the participating/founding members are going to
be gathered together then, so this seemed only logical to me. However,
we were at the end of two long days, everyone was weary, nerves were
frayed and the decision was instead taken to leave to the chairs'
discretion when to call the next meeting. Indications then were that
it *wouldn't* be in conjunction with Extreme Markup, but nothing was
said about when it might be...

I will be in Montreal myself, and I am more than willing (in fact,
I am rather eager) to do XTM technical work there. The modelling
group appointed in Paris is due to deliver its results by mid-July,
so there will be more than enough to follow up on, both in terms of
that model, discussions about syntax issues, and agreeing on a
disposition for the specification itself.

I would suggest the 19th-20th August for a formal XTM meeting, since
the co-chairs are giving a tutorial on 13th-14th. Alternatively, I
would try to attend on 11th-12th. In the event that no formal meeting
is called, I would be willing to work informally with whoever was
interested on 13th and/or 14th.

I would like to ask the co-chairs, Steve N. and Michel, to comment
on this as soon as possible so that we can reach agreement before
people start taking their vacations. Thank you.

Steve
