In Montreal, the XTM day was discussed as an intro and interoperability day to not only introduce the subject but demonstrate that there is working software for it and that they really do interoperate.  Dianne and Michel and a few others discussed it at a BOF that I wasn't able to attend.

 

Steve P., your paper would be an excellent intro.

There doesn't seem to be a general introduction to topic maps
at XML 2000 and I think there should be. I would be willing to
give a modified version of my Paris presentation (The TAO of
Topic Maps) at the XTM day.

Over and above that I'd like to hear more about what *kind*
of material you're expecting. For example, would live demos of
topic map applications be of interest?
