Subject: [xtm-wg] FW: IEEE Approval of Public Posting of SUO
James Mason, Convenor of ISO/IEC JTC1 SC34 (the SGML family of standards that includes, among other things, ISO 13250) sent this to some of us and I thought everybody should see it. ------- Start of forwarded message ------- From: "Mason, James David (MXM) " <mxm@y12.doe.gov> To: (a whole bunch of standards people) Subject: FW: IEEE Approval of Public Posting of SUO Date: Fri, 27 Oct 2000 08:49:46 -0400 This is the sort of news I like to see: a standard is going on line from earliest drafts through final version. The Standard Upper Ontology (SUO) group is developing something that they intend to bring into JTC1/SC32. The content will be something like a collection of Public Topics, and they've been concerned that their standard would be useless if it were not available online and for free.
