Subject: [xtm-wg] Admitting new members

To David Holliday and al.

It is part of our charter that everything we discuss in the
context of the authoring group is public information.

The reason that you, and all the members who follow this mailing list,
get access to the discussions in progress, is because of this policy.
There are many advantages of making all information publicly available.
Until now, we have had quite positive feedback about it.

I understand that some email messages are likely to be less useful than
others. Please ignore them then. You should go directly to the document
repository at www.topicmaps.org if you have not enough time to follow the
email
discussions.

I personally consider important that the process of admitting new members
is publicly available. If some day you decide to become a participating
member,
which you can, you will have to follow the same kind of procedure. If you
don't
like the procedure, you can express yourself on this list. If you want to
discuss
other issues, please do.

Best regards,

Michel Biezunski
