The error here was the ID of the topic -- it should have been "sort",
not "en". As it stands, the example makes no sense at all...

I won't comment on all your points, since most of them were typos
and the like.

Don't think so. A <member> element without a <roleSpec> is still
about something playing some kind of role -- we just don't know
what it is.
