Subject: 2014 Potential Interop. SC Events - Reg. deadlines soon
Dear Interop. SC members, Here are the full details of the events Jane Harnad has provided and will discuss with us this coming Monday: Cloud Expo East Recommended activity: OASIS TOSCA Standard Showcase on the Exhibit Floor Participation fee: 2,500 USD (per company) Event details: 10-12 June 2014 Javits Center, New York, New York www.cloudcomputingexpo.com Audience: expecting 7,000+ registered attendees, attached is a sample list of last year attendees Background on the showcase option: OASIS would plan to organize a ‘TOSCA Standards Showcase’ on exhibit floor to provide visibility—and marketing opportunities--for TC members. Any OASIS member may participate in the Showcase to demonstrate a product or service that supports TOSCA – with a minimum of six members are required to move forward. The TC may decide to feature an Interoperability Demonstration. Any member signed on to participate in the Showcase has the option to participate in agreed Interoperability Demonstration provided they are able to meet the criteria. All members signed on to participate in the Showcase will operate out of the exhibit booth, coordinated by OASIS staff. Throughout the event, booth visitors will be introduced to the concepts and encouraged to walk around to view each implementation and/or speak to members. Marketing and promotional opportunities coordinated by OASIS staff will be available before, during and after the event. Deadline to confirm participation: 30 April Cloud World Forum Recommended activity: OASIS TOSCA Standard Showcase on the Exhibit Floor Participation fee: 3,500 USD (per company) Event details: 17-18 June 2014 Olympia National Hall, London, United Kingdom http://cloudwf.com/ Audience: 8000+ delegates from 70+ countries with 42% being C-level Background on the showcase option: OASIS would plan to organize a ‘TOSCA Standards Showcase’ on exhibit floor to provide visibility—and marketing opportunities--for TC members. Any OASIS member may participate in the Showcase to demonstrate a product or service that supports TOSCA – with a minimum of six members are required to move forward. Deadline to confirm participation: 30 April Forecast 2014 Recommended activity: Instant demo and presentation Participation fee: none, part of the ODCA/OASIS agreement Event details: 22-24 September 2014 Palace Hotel, San Francisco, California http://www.opendatacenteralliance.org/forecast2014 Audience: 500-700 expected, C-level executives, senior managers – 40% technologists and 60% end-users Background on the Instant Demo option: Instant demos will be held in a special area at the conference venue. This area will be equipped with kiosks that display content from each of the event supporters (including OASIS). OASIS is entitled to submit a brief demo video (length to be determined shortly), 2-3 pieces of reference materials and a contact email for further information. During the event, attendees will be encouraged to view the demo kiosks located in this area. If any attendees have questions about the demos – these will be directed to OASIS. Background on the presentation option: The organizers are inviting us to provide a Proof of Concept – TOSCA presentation in the PoC track. The session date/time is yet to be determined.
