Subject: Re: [ubl-dev] availability of open source UBL/ebXML test data ?

Hi Chin,

Thanks for the link. The documents are definitely along the lines that I was
looking for.

I don't know if you agree with me but it would help the ubl cause in general if
we could develop a test data set of documents with all the combininations and
permutations of functions that would allow people to test their systems.

Obviously, we are going to be using different languages, tools and protocols
butsome good test data would really help.

I'm thinking of putting together some perl scripts that would automate the
procedures. For example, one needs to be able to direct the documents to a
particular customer/supplier account. Only easy way I can think of is with some
sort of scripting mechanism.

The kind of tests that I'm thinking about would be:

 - generate one line documents ie PO+QUOTE+INVOICE+DESPADV
 - test loading/validation of account details
 - test loading/validation of delivery details
 - test tax configurations

etc.... etc....

Anyway, these are just my thoughts to help the cause of making ebxml/ubl more
interoperable.

Best Regards

David
