Subject: [ubl-lcsc] Namespaces in UBL Schemas

The 2003-01-22b package I picked up from the list in:

   http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/ubl-lcsc/200301/msg00114.html

still has not addressed my comments in:

   http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/ubl-lcsc/200301/msg00113.html

which were first explained in:

   http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/ubl-lcsc/200301/msg00100.html

Looking at 22-01-03b - UBL_Library_0p70_Order.xsd I see the following:

<xsd:schema xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema";
             xmlns:bie="urn:oasis:names:tc:ubl:Order:1.0:0.70"
             xmlns:ccts="urn:oasis:names:tc:ubl:CoreComponentParameters:1.0:0.70"

             xmlns:cct="urn:oasis:names:tc:ubl:CoreComponentTypes:1.0:0.70">

I'll repeat what I said in the messages above: I believe the "bie:" prefix
does not belong, and the targetNamespace= attribute is missing as in:

<xsd:schema
      targetNamespace="urn:oasis:names:tc:ubl:Order:1.0:0.70"
      xmlns="urn:oasis:names:tc:ubl:Order:1.0:0.70"
       ...

I'm firmly of the opinion that processing applications (programs and
stylesheets) need the above two attributes in the xsd:schema element in
order to correctly set the vocabulary up for processing.

I would be willing to entertain any dissenting opinions regarding what I'm
positing above ... please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you!

.................... Ken
