I would suggest that an appendix to WS-Calendar is the right place.

Also, as I've mentioned to Toby, this is more implementation detail than I think is necessary in EMIX; I'll copy the ws-calendar tc on that posting.

I've been doing UML modeling (for the NAESB Load and Usage effort) that includes a simplified abstraction for intervals. I'm extending that to include partitiions and
