Subject: RE: [wsdm] [uplat] Platform technologies laundry list ratings

I mostly agree with Heather's ranks, expect for a few comments:

- I think security is "medium". We could ignore it and have a reasonable
first spec which could still be secured on top of our work. Maybe it's
because of my ignorance, but this one doesn't keep me up at night. And we
should use the "high" category sparingly to make sure we can efficiently
cover everything that falls there.

- For the same reason I would move "version" to medium. Theoretically it's
very important, but from a project management perspective it is not high
priority.

- What is "name resolution"? Is this covered by the mix of
identity/addressing and registration/discovery?

- We still haven't received a definition proposal and a rational for
"lifecycle support" so we might not understand the same thing by these
words. Based on the definition, I'll agree or not on the "low"
classification.

Regards,

William
