Subject: RE: CD 01 PR package
Changes attached and redline of
CD with these publication edits. I used cd instead of cd01, the
version number of the cd is already in the filename. Actually, so is the fact
that it is a cd. From: Marc Goodner Based on your other thread we
will not change the ns change. I misread the filename rule and can fix that (I
still disagree with that rule, it simply makes building the package and finding
the files more difficult). So I can address 4 and 8 now. From: Marc Goodner
[mailto:mgoodner@microsoft.com] For number 3 that would be the editable source. I'll update
accordingly. The existing ns rules clearly allow the ns we are using in the
document. I see no violation of the rules in terms of where we are requesting
to put the documents. The namespace and document locations are consistent with
other TCs that also are conformant with the current rules. As
such I cannot make the requested changes for 4, 5 and 8 as they
are breaking changes to our approved specification. The
others seem straightforward. I'll turn around a revision soon. From: Mary McRae [marypmcrae@gmail.com] On Behalf
Of Mary McRae [mary.mcrae@oasis-open.org] Hi Marc, I’m attaching a
change-tracked/commented version of the spec – experiment: is this more
helpful than just a list of comments? Changes needed: 1.
Need to identify the specific committee
draft version (Committee Draft 01, 02, etc.) 2.
Need the exact approval date (25 June 2008,
etc.) 3.
TC needs to declare one of the three formats
as authoritative; needs to be noted following the specific URI in parens
“(Authoritative)” 4.
Documents are not allowed to be
“hidden” under namespaces acting as directories. Documents/schemas
must be located under the prescribed path (docs.oasis-open.org/wsfed/federation/v1.2/{cd01}/[filename]
– where “cd01” is optional but preferred 5.
We are migrating to a system where
namespaces are explicitly identified by the use of ‘ns’ in the URI
path (which avoids the confusion identified in #4 above). The ns should either
immediately precede or follow the tc shortname (i.e. /ns/wsfed/ or /wsfed/ns/) 6.
Date needs to be added to running footer;
also remove “OASIS trademark, IPR and other policies apply.” 7.
Conformance section needs to be the last
numbered section in the spec immediately preceding Appendix A. 8.
Corresponding changes to the namespace
document to reflect the proper file URIs Regards, Mary From: Marc Goodner
