None AFAICT.  if we continue pushing RESTfull resolution, leveraging
HTTP tools seems a mandate.  If we chose to specify (for example) a
soap/HTTP binding for resolution, this trick still applies, or could be
folded into the SOAP header.

All servers are (supposed) to support this today.  Apache does this, and
very well.  I cannot speak to the other's support.  since these are
custom clients, asking that another HTTP header be specified is pretty
trival, from the HTTP client lib's i've worked with.
