I'm glad to hear this, Karl, because against my recommendation Canada voted 
for a Category "C" Liaison membership.

The work of SC 34/WG 2 is fonts and presentation, where DSSSL is very 
active in the Orient.

The work of SC 34/WG 3 is linking and relationships, where Topic Maps are 
very active ... many SC 34 members are in the OASIS Topic Maps Member Section.

The newest project in SC 34/WG 1 is DSDL (Document Schema Definition 
Language) ISO 19757, where James is providing technical direction and I'm 
trying my first hand at project editing.  This is a framework bringing 
together validation and modeling standards including RELAX-NG, Schematron, 
DTDs and W3C XML Schema.

That's the two-bit overview ...
