Subject: Re: unable to speak at tomorrow's EKMI meeting after all

If KMIP is expected to be royalty-free, and EKMI is royalty-free,
where is the conflict, Bob? Jamie, can you shed some light on
this nuance for the benefit of EKMI TC members? Thanks.

Well, the KMIP charter certainly has given EKMI members something to
think about. I was hoping that your presentation would add a little
clarity to the confusion that is starting to develop; but it will
probably have to be addressed on the "OASIS comments-list" and on
other appropriate forums.

For all on the EKMI list, I would personally like to defer discussion
of the KMIP TC charter until StrongAuth has had a chance to respond
on the TC-charter-comments-list (hopefully, by the end of this week).
Once StrongAuth has taken a formal position on this, my personal
position will become clear to the TC at that point. However, if the
TC would like to add the KMIP charter to the agenda, we can do so, and
those who would like to go on the record with their opinions, positions,
concerns, etc., may do so.
