On the one hand, I accept that such a workaround might work.

On the other, I'm almost too busy to deal with any of this Kavi overhead.
I was much happier publishing a set of HTML pages. (I recognize that many
TC chairs and secretaries are happier this way and that the new system
reduces the admin effort for OASIS staff if it work(s/ed).) But it's harder
for me. Working around the bugs in the system that was supposed to make
life easier but already makes life harder rates a spot on my todo list
way down near the bottom.
