Subject: [legalxml-courtfiling] RE: TC charter and proposed"TC status information"

John:

A few points:

1. The OASIS TC Process allows a TC to "clarify" its statement of
purpose, deliverables, and schedule. While we normally refer to those
things as the TC's "charter" the TC Process never uses that term.

2. The OASIS Board is not involved in such clarifications. The TC
makes the decision, and the TC Administrator (me) must be notified.
The TC should post the revision to the web page and email list.

3. I wouldn't worry about "clarifying" the schedule as part of the
"charter" document. The schedule that is included in the proposal for
a new TC is understood to be fluid over time; merely the intent to
meet weekly or monthly or etc. is sufficient. Exact times/dates can be
publicized on the mail list and web page without having to modify the
charter.

4. The changes that I see in the redlined version are acceptable to me
as clarifications of the TC's statement of purpose and deliverables.
