Yes, but the awkward language was the consequence of trying to express 
a complex idea (files as a serialization of a graph, rather than 
intrinsically meaningful) in one sentence.

If you and Svante are fine with your proposed language, that's fine 
with me. Sometimes complex sentences are best left simplified ;-)
