Currently for chart:interpolation="b-spline" OOo does _not_ perform interpolation but uses the data points as control points for the constructed spline. As a consequence the data points (except the first and last) usually do not lie on the spline.
I believe the idea of the chart:interpolation attribute is to provide an interpolation method. So we need to decide whether to try to describe the method currently used by OOo or to decribe a proper interpolation method in which case all data points would end up on the spline.
