Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Updated: (OFFICE-2872) NEEDS-DISCUSSION 20.24chart:interpolation - definitions of b-spline and cubic-spine seeminsufficient
[ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-2872?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:all-tabpanel ] Andreas Guelzow updated OFFICE-2872: ------------------------------------- Summary: NEEDS-DISCUSSION 20.24 chart:interpolation - definitions of b-spline and cubic-spine seem insufficient (was: 20.24 chart:interpolation - definitions of b-spline and cubic-spine seem insufficient) Currently for chart:interpolation="b-spline" OOo does _not_ perform interpolation but uses the data points as control points for the constructed spline. As a consequence the data points (except the first and last) usually do not lie on the spline. I believe the idea of the chart:interpolation attribute is to provide an interpolation method. So we need to decide whether to try to describe the method currently used by OOo or to decribe a proper interpolation method in which case all data points would end up on the spline. > NEEDS-DISCUSSION 20.24 chart:interpolation - definitions of b-spline and cubic-spine seem insufficient > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > Key: OFFICE-2872 > URL: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-2872 > Project: OASIS Open Document Format for Office Applications (OpenDocument) TC > Issue Type: Bug > Components: Chart > Affects Versions: ODF 1.2 CD 05 > Reporter: Patrick Durusau > Assignee: Andreas Guelzow > Fix For: ODF 1.2 CD 06 > > > 20.24 chart:interpolation - definitions of b-spline and cubic-spine seem insufficient > Read in full: > "b-spline - B-Splines.
